Life in Baltimore is Better Poolside

Dive into summer and beat the heat with friends and family with your closest pool. 1305 may not have a pool, but check out these local hotspots to cool off this summer!

Merritt Clubs

Canton

According to the Baltimore Magazine, this is “the best pool in Baltimore” and a “must-see.” Merritt Clubs Canton promotes an oasis a few minutes away from home with their rooftop pool, equipped with the best views overlooking the city. There are two leisure pools, water slides, hot tubs, and lounge areas with cabanas. A full-service bar and restaurant also keep patrons hydrated and satiated during this hot summer.

This pool is only open to members, but everyone is allowed a 1-Day Free pass Monday-Friday.

Additional day passes may be purchased for $25/day and memberships may be purchased online.

Fort Ave.

Merritt Clubs on Fort Avenue may not be a rooftop, but it is a #ResortOnFort. Dip into their outdoor pool, or sign-up for a fulfilling aquatics class until late September! Fort Avenue also is equipped with a full-service bar and restaurant.

This pool is only open to members, but everyone is allowed a 1-Day Free pass Monday-Friday. Additional day passes may be purchased for $25/day and memberships may be purchased online.

Swim Club Baltimore

Located at 2760 Lighthouse Point, this stunning outdoor pool overlooks the harbor and boat slips. Everyone and all is welcome from couples, babysitters, to children! One must be a member to join this stunning and relaxing scene accompanied with towel service. Memberships may be purchased online and there are four types of packages: Individual, Couple, Family, & Babysitter Bundle.

Sagamore Pendry Baltimore

Sagamore Pendry combines both luxury and relaxation with their expansive outdoor pool, five cabanas, and an outdoor bar and grill. Soak up some Vitamin D and cool off while basking in the panoramic views of the harbor and skyline. Take a look at their delicious menu, equipped with hand-crafted refreshing cocktails and tasty eats. A day pass for this gorgeous location is $50/day, or treat yourself to a staycation and be a hotel guest.

Four Seasons Hotel in Baltimore

The Four Seasons Hotel offers a luxurious pool on the fourth floor, perfect for cooling off this summer. Relax on one of the chaise lounges and bask in the views of the Inner Harbor, or take a dip in this expansive outdoor pool. Rent a cabana customised with your favorite drinks and juices while savoring a delectable fruit plate, or occupy a table at the Splash Pool Bar and Grill. It is also encouraged to take a dip before sunset when the pool’s lights come on!

Only one floor above, Four Seasons has a heated whirlpool and shallow reflecting pool. Both are perfect for a relaxing afternoon with friends and family.

One may receive access to these lovely pools by being a guest at the hotel, or renting a cabana at +1 (410) 223-2805.

Otterbein Swim Club

This swimming pool is perfect for both adults and children due to the various featured amenities and activities! Dive into Downtown Baltimore’s largest swimming pool and feel free to occupy the pavilion and picnic areas with grills and lawn activities! For children, there is a wading pool, free swimming lessons, play groups, and Kids’ Days all summer-long.

To become a member at this social pool and swim club, one must fill out the waitlist application for 2019 until 2022. There is a one-time Initiation Fee along with guest fees and annual dues.

Patterson Park Public Pool
Patterson Park Pool provides a spacious pool with five dedicated lap lanes and shallow areas. Besides the pool, there is a Lounge Lawn perfect for acquiring that tan and taking a day off. Children are also welcome with designated splash pads and play areas! Worried about safety and security? This public pool is equipped with on-site security and secure locker rooms to store away your personal items!

Seasonal memberships may be acquired on-site, or by calling +1 (410) 396-8975 and are $30/person for Open Swimming and $50/person for the Early Bird Lap Swim package.

Riverside Park Pool

This public pool recently reopened and is better than ever! Communal and collaborative art projects make this pool one-of-a-kind and unforgettable! Take time for yourself while reading a book or scrolling through social media on the new lounge chairs, or dive into the improved pool. Children also have fountains, lawn games, and their own shallow pool to have fun in.

Memberships are required and may be purchased $30 for an all-access pass. Additional programs include the Masters Swim and Baby Country Club packages for $55/person.

Roosevelt Park Public Pool

This pool is perfect for families and adults alike. Cool off in the deep end or relax in the sun! Get involved and take a swimming lesson or join in on water aerobics for a seasonal pass of $30/person!
